About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist at Valtech, you’ll develop advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions that power digital transformation for global clients. You’ll work hands-on with tools like Python, PySpark, and Databricks, contributing to scalable data pipelines, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled business intelligence. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models for time-series forecasting and supply-chain optimization using Databricks.

• Conduct root-cause analyses of production issues and optimize existing model performance.

• Engineer and maintain data pipelines using Databricks Lakeflow, Azure Data Factory, and related cloud tools.

• Write and maintain clean, testable Python and PySpark code with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows.

• Design interactive dashboards and visual analytics using Tableau, Power BI, or modern visualization libraries.

• Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, conduct deep-dive analyses, and deliver actionable business insights.

• Contribute to the architecture of scalable cloud-based data solutions and infrastructure.

• Lead technical discussions, manage project timelines, and mentor junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or ML engineering.

• Proven expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL from ingestion to insight.

• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling for real-world business applications.

• Experience with Databricks and familiarity with Databricks Lakeflow orchestration.

• Proficiency in Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines for collaborative code management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in open-source contributions or developing packaged software libraries.

• Familiarity with data visualization libraries (matplotlib, seaborn, Streamlit, Bokeh, or D3.js).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data ecosystems (Spark, Hive, Unity Catalog).

• Exposure to data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.

• Experience leading or managing data and AI projects in cross-functional environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $92,000–$160,000 per year (based on experience and location).
