    Banc of California, a relationship-based business bank, is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and maintain their MS-SQL databases and other data access methods.

    Role Overview:

    The Senior Database Administrator will ensure the definition, organization, security, integrity, and operational efficiency of the bank’s databases.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recommend database management systems and hardware platforms.
    • Assign and control database naming conventions.
    • Ensure database security and access control.
    • Monitor database backups, logs, and transaction statistics.
    • Oversee data distribution and replication.
    • Design physical database implementations.
    • Plan and execute performance tests.
    • Allocate disk space and monitor utilization.
    • Manage schema and sub-schema libraries.
    • Implement backup and recovery plans.
    • Monitor operating statistics and system performance.
    • Direct maintenance and installation of database software.
    • Maintain database environment documentation.
    • Create and maintain database reference materials.
    • Analyze and evaluate database software packages.
    • Interact with vendors and negotiate prices.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience.
    • Knowledge of MySQL and Oracle databases.
    • Experience with Core Banking and Platform automation systems.
    • Knowledge of banking regulations (Regulation Z, B, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/AML/CIP, RFPA, CRA).
    • Advanced database programming skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong math skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
