About the Role
AppCard is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a proven track record of leading operations and engineering projects. This role offers a dynamic, cloud-focused environment where you will have the opportunity to advance both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical systems and infrastructure, implementing new software and hardware solutions, and providing team training. From the outset, you’ll be entrusted with meaningful assignments, the chance to lead initiatives, and full accountability for delivering successful outcomes.
Responsibilities

Provide hands-on leadership for system architecture design and modernization efforts.

Develop and maintain cloud-based (AWS) and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to establish SLAs and implement observability for customers and stakeholders.

Identify, diagnose, and resolve systemic issues impacting engineering and operations workflows.

Oversee tooling and build systems management.

Actively participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis.
Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, or software development roles.

Demonstrated experience in roadmap creation and technical project management.

Strong familiarity with systems, including performance monitoring tools, identity providers, networking, content delivery, and caching mechanisms.

Deep expertise in Linux and container deployment best practices.

Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or similar frameworks.

Extensive experience working with AWS cloud services.

Solid networking knowledge including load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Well-versed in cloud security best practices.

Creative, innovative thinker with an ability to devise out-of-the-box solutions.
