DevOps Engineer – New York, NY
What You’ll Do:
As a DevOps Engineer at MSG, you’ll play a critical role in designing and managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high-performance, scalable environments that support our digital platforms and services. This includes building infrastructure using tools like Terraform, troubleshooting full-stack issues, and ensuring secure, reliable deployments across complex systems. Occasional off-hours support may be required.
Key responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing infrastructure in AWS, GCP, and Azure environments

Managing and maintaining cloud-based systems, with on-call support as needed

Using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation

Troubleshooting across the full web and mobile stack
-
Managing high-traffic databases (MySQL, NoSQL)
-
Leveraging monitoring tools like Dynatrace for performance and reliability
-
Addressing production issues and escalating when necessary
-
Optimizing application hosting environments for performance
-
Developing documentation and training materials for automation initiatives
-
Collaborating with software teams to ensure operational readiness
-
Writing scripts to automate system operations, scaling, and server management
-
Ensuring infrastructure security and best practices are in place
What You’ll Need to Succeed:

5+ years of experience managing large-scale web applications on Linux (RedHat/CentOS)

Strong scripting abilities in Python and Shell
-
Proficiency in technologies such as Nginx, MongoDB, Node.js, PHP, JavaScript
-
Hands-on experience managing MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
-
Expertise in building infrastructure with Terraform
-
Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube for CI/CD

Deep knowledge of AWS services: EC2, Auto Scaling, ALB, CloudFront, ECS, Route 53
-
Experience working with logging systems like the ELK stack (or similar)

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

AWS Certification is a strong advantage
