About the Role
AppCard is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a proven track record of leading operational and engineering projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand both technical and leadership skills in a dynamic, cloud-centric environment. As a key member of the team, you will be instrumental in supporting and evolving our critical systems and infrastructure. From day one, you’ll tackle impactful challenges, drive strategic initiatives, and take full ownership of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on leadership for system architecture improvements and modernization initiatives.

Design, deploy, and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure, primarily within AWS.

Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to establish SLAs, enhance system observability, and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.

Oversee build systems and tooling management, ensuring continuous integration and delivery pipelines are optimized.

Respond to and resolve production incidents, identifying root causes and driving long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage project roadmaps, including technical planning and execution.

Deep understanding of system-level concepts such as performance monitoring, networking, identity management, content delivery, and caching.

Strong Linux expertise and proficiency with container-based deployment practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.

Hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure optimization.

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, and system performance tuning.

Awareness of and adherence to cloud security best practices.

Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
