Position Summary:
Walmart is transforming healthcare retail through digital innovation, and our Optical Vision Centers are a critical part of that journey. We are seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to define and lead the digital product strategy and roadmap for Walmart’s Optical Vision Center. This role will drive the development of seamless omni-channel experiences for patients and associates—across online, mobile, and in-store platforms.
As a key leader within Walmart Global Tech and Health & Wellness, you’ll work across business, clinical, engineering, design, and operations teams to reimagine vision care and deliver personalized, accessible, and data-driven solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision

Define and communicate a long-term product vision for Walmart’s digital Optical Vision Center experience

Own the multi-year product roadmap aligned with Health & Wellness and broader enterprise goals

Drive innovation in virtual try-on, tele-optometry, online prescriptions, digital appointments, and personalized eyewear experiences
Execution & Delivery

Lead and mentor a team of product managers to deliver digital features from concept to execution

Translate customer and associate insights into scalable, impactful digital tools

Ensure end-to-end platform integration across in-store, eCommerce, and provider-facing systems
Associate Experience & Operational Tools

Build associate-centered tools for scheduling, inventory, order management, and patient interactions

Collaborate with frontline Optical Center teams to identify workflow pain points and implement practical solutions
Cross-functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Partner with Design, Engineering, Analytics, Clinical Operations, and Marketing

Present strategies, progress, and KPIs to executive stakeholders

Build trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners, including optical vendors and health tech providers
Customer & Market Insight

Use data, user research, and competitive insights to drive product decisions

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) standards

Build inclusive experiences that serve a diverse customer base
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 13+ years of experience in product management

Option 2: 15+ years of experience in product management or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree (MBA, Computer Science, or related field)

12+ years of experience in product leadership roles managing large-scale, consumer-facing or B2B/C digital platforms

Strong background in digital healthcare, retail, vision care, or health tech

Experience with HIPAA-compliant platforms, EHR/EMR systems, and digital scheduling tools

Knowledge of accessibility best practices and assistive technologies

Familiarity with machine learning-powered personalization or AI-powered visual interfaces

Supervisory experience in matrixed, agile organizations
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $160,000 – $320,000 annually

Bonus: Eligible for annual or quarterly performance bonuses
