As a Financial Accountant within our Global Corporate Team, reporting to the Senior Manager Controlling, you will be pivotal in managing Leica Biosystems’ internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation reporting. You will ensure consistent adherence to all Accounting and Control practices, contribute to global ad hoc projects, and strengthen our financial control infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process for Leica Biosystems, both internally and externally. This includes financial results, balance sheet analysis, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual tax processes, including transfer pricing.
- Champion financial integrity by focusing on a robust closing process, strong internal controls, cost discipline, and accurate forecasting.
- Assist in calculating corporate adjustments for the consolidated financial statements.
- Identify, recommend, and actively participate in opportunities to improve business processes.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience OR Doctoral Degree with 0+ years of experience.
- Essential: CPA license.
- Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Strong knowledge and experience of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system (advantageous but not essential).
Location & Travel: This role is based in Deer Park, IL, with minimal travel expectations.
Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $115,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
