Key Responsibilities of a Senior Financial Analyst

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in coordination with department heads.

  • Conduct variance analysis, communicate findings, and provide performance insights to leadership.

  • Research, implement, and manage financial planning and budgeting software tools.

  • Create monthly and quarterly financial reports and KPI dashboards for executive review.

  • Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and data-driven analysis.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align operations with financial strategies.

  • Assist in preparing executive presentations and communicating firmwide financial results.

  • Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy in all financial reporting activities.


Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 4–6 years of progressive financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience.

  • Experience in public accounting or professional services is preferred.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial principles.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with tools like Power BI, Sage Intacct, or PowerPoint.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to handle large data sets and present insights clearly.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $55,020 – $104,304 (based on experience and location).
