About the Role:
Reddit’s SPACE organization (Security, Privacy, Assurance, and Corporate Engineering) is launching a Compliance Engineering team to ensure Reddit’s platforms meet evolving regulatory, privacy, and security requirements. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and implement trusted, compliant experiences for millions of users. You’ll collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams while shaping technical and product strategy for a highly visible and critical domain.
Responsibilities:

Adapt Reddit’s platforms to meet privacy, security, and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build compliant experiences for users.

Lead high-impact initiatives from technical design through coding, testing, analysis, and launch.

Influence product strategy and own areas end-to-end.

Mentor other engineers and raise the bar for engineering standards and workflows.
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of professional software development experience post-internship.

Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript.

Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Lit.

Familiarity with building and consuming APIs (GraphQL, REST, HTTP).

Strong understanding of web performance, rendering, bundling, caching, and responsive design.

Knowledge of web components, accessibility standards, and internationalization.

BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver projects on schedule.

Remote or flexible, with global team collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits:

Base pay range: $190,800 – $267,100 USD.
