Duties:
- Proactively identify staffing needs and manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Leverage data analytics to guide decision-making by analyzing trends in hiring, turnover, retention, and talent management, and recommending improvements.
- Address employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager as necessary.
- Oversee the employee referral incentive program.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, sourcing, screening applicants, and managing the recruiting system while providing consistent follow-up with candidates and maintaining records in the Workday platform.
- Represent the company at career fairs and similar recruiting events.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling orientation and completing employment eligibility and new hire paperwork, e-Verify processing, and time clock training.
- Update job descriptions as required.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Regularly audit employee files and data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Process job changes, promotions, terminations, and other employee status updates.
- Manage the exit process for departing employees, including system notifications and conducting exit interviews.
- Support employee relations activities and provide assistance as needed.
- Contribute to company initiatives such as quality, safety, environmental management, continuous quality improvement (CQI), 5S, yield management, and cost control.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources is required
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent listening, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Results-driven with a sense of urgency while maintaining flexibility.
