As an Information Security Architect, you will act as a subject matter expert, lead security architecture design, and implement advanced risk management strategies to enhance the organization’s overall security posture. Skills Needed for an Information Security Architect

To succeed as an Information Security Architect, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of technical information security experience.

  • Expert-level knowledge of security principles, frameworks, and technologies.

  • Experience in penetration testing, vulnerability management, and remediation.

  • Proven ability to balance business needs with risk management.

  • Strong communication skills to present findings to executives and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications for an Information Security Architect

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity & Risk Assessment methodologies.

  • Familiarity with HiTrust and SOC II standards.

  • Advanced experience with risk/threat assessment tools and frameworks.

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex security issues and technologies.
