About the Role

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in executing audits aligned with professional standards and helping to mitigate risk across multiple business areas. Reporting directly to the Audit Director, you will collaborate cross-functionally, provide controls consultancy, and support Experian’s global internal audit improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support audits across areas such as regulatory compliance, data governance, third-party risk, and IT security

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes and deliver control and risk recommendations

  • Monitor and track resolution of audit findings and action plans

  • Offer risk, governance, and compliance consulting to business teams

  • Participate in GIA projects focused on continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes

  • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant regulations, policies, and frameworks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in internal audit, financial audit, IT audit, information security/privacy audit, or Big 4 consulting

  • Knowledge of consumer compliance regulations, including:

    • UDAAP, FCRA, GLBA, Regulation P, and CCPA

  • At least one professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, CAMS, CFCS)

  • Strong data analytics skills using tools such as:

    • SQL, SAS, Tableau, Spotfire, CAATs, IDEA, ACL, Monarch

Preferred (Bonus) Experience

  • Internal audit experience in a regulated FinTech or consumer financial services environment

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like:

    • BSA, AML, KYC, OFAC
