Senior IT Project Manager – Major League Baseball (MLB)

Job Summary:
MLB is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end execution of IT initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination, implementation, and delivery. This role manages project lifecycles—from gathering requirements and securing approvals to execution and deployment—while optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years in technical project management.
    • 3+ years in IT roles.
    • Proven success in leading large-scale, cross-functional IT projects.
    • Experience with enterprise-level IT initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud solutions, and SaaS implementations.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project).
    • Strong documentation, technical writing, and training development skills.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee complex IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams across various locations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business and technical teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful execution.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, manage budgets, track progress, and implement change management protocols.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve challenges proactively while balancing organizational and client needs.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and lead training programs for system adoption.
  • Administrative Oversight: Ensure projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, and maintain high-quality standards.
