About the Role

CDI is seeking a Senior Manager of Demand Generation to design, implement, and optimize programs that drive growth. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role owns the marketing funnel, leading paid campaigns, building email nurture programs, and optimizing CRM to generate high-quality leads for the Partnerships team.

This is a hands-on builder role where you will transform CDI’s existing newsletters, webinars, conferences, and paid/organic efforts into a coordinated, data-driven system. Over time, this role may expand to manage additional marketing staff, contractors, or specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Optimize Demand Generation Engine

  • Lead paid campaigns (LinkedIn, search, retargeting) for high-quality lead generation.

  • Design and launch email nurture programs to move prospects through the funnel.

  • Connect newsletters, webinars, white papers, and conferences into multi-channel campaigns.

Strengthen Lifecycle Marketing and CRM

  • Improve list enrichment, segmentation, and targeting.

  • Streamline nurture and follow-up campaigns for webinars, white papers, and events.

  • Partner with Operations to optimize HubSpot workflows and reporting.

Professionalize Marketing Analytics

  • Build dashboards for funnel metrics (qualified opportunities, MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, ROI).

  • Integrate AI/automation into campaigns and workflows to reduce manual tasks.

  • Conduct competitive landscape scans to refine messaging and positioning.

Partner Across the Organization

  • Collaborate with Comms to maximize lead generation from thought leadership.

  • Work closely with Partnerships to translate messaging into targeted campaigns that support sales.

  • Oversee agency partners for content and web development.

Lay the Foundation for Future Scale

  • Manage a six-figure marketing budget with ROI accountability.

  • Establish playbooks and repeatable processes for growth.

  • Prepare to lead future specialists, contractors, or staff.

About You

  • Proven demand generation marketer with 6–8 years of B2B marketing experience.

  • Strong experience in email lifecycle and nurture campaign design.

  • Digital and technical fluency with HubSpot, paid media, analytics, and AI/automation tools.

  • Analytical mindset with experience building dashboards and measuring ROI.

  • Collaborative, comfortable in cross-functional environments.

  • Mission-aligned and excited to advance dialogue and higher education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of B2B marketing experience with a focus on demand generation and lifecycle/email nurture.

  • Demonstrated success driving pipeline through email, paid media, events, and organic channels.

  • Proficient with HubSpot (or equivalent CRM/automation platform) and analytics tools.

  • Startup or nonprofit experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $115,000 – $135,000
