Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Payroll & Benefits plays a key role in managing day-to-day payroll and benefits operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this role serves as the subject matter expert on payroll, 401(k) administration, tax compliance, audits, and employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll, Tax, & 401(k) Administration:
- Oversee multi-state payroll for 400+ employees on a semi-monthly basis.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams for payroll reconciliation.
- Manage payroll system integrations and support M&A-related payroll activities.
- Lead year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, payroll audits, Workers’ Compensation, and 401(k) audits.
- Administer the 401(k) plan, including audits, compliance testing, and Form 5500 filings.
- Maintain vendor relationships for payroll and benefits services.
Health & Welfare Benefits:
- Oversee day-to-day administration of self-funded health benefits and wellness programs.
- Act as the primary liaison for brokers and vendors.
- Lead open enrollment planning, including plan setup, communications, and carrier management.
HR & HRIS Management:
- Supervise and optimize payroll and benefits policies to enhance efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Maintain and optimize ADP Workforce Now (WFN) to support business needs.
- Partner with the Senior Director of HR to develop a competitive compensation framework.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Lead annual compliance reporting, including ACA and EEO-1 filings.
- Manage Benefits Compliance Dashboard and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Generate and analyze internal reports and metrics to support data-driven decisions.
- Stay up to date with multi-state payroll laws and HR legislation.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Payroll & Benefits management.
- 2-4 years of leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, audits, and HRIS management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Team & Work Environment
- Reports to: Senior Director of Human Resources.
- Works closely with the HR team and Finance department.
- Hybrid position based in Duluth, GA.
