Position Overview: Senior Manager, Sales
The Senior Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for guiding a high-performing sales team, including Regional Sales Managers and manufacturer representatives. This role also oversees a national sales territory, combining strategic direction with hands-on account management to drive significant revenue growth and long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers and representatives, including external manufacturer reps.

Set and track performance goals (KPIs), conduct regular reviews, and foster a collaborative, high-achieving sales culture.
Territory & Account Management

Oversee sales efforts within a national territory.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and key accounts.

Identify new business opportunities and execute plans to exceed sales targets.
Strategic Planning & Reporting

Partner with senior leadership to craft and execute sales strategies.

Analyze performance data and market trends to drive informed decisions.

Provide regular reporting on team progress, market insights, and key milestones.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations to align efforts and customer feedback with company goals.

Share insights to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus)
Experience
-
Minimum 8 years of sales experience in technical or industrial markets

At least 3 years managing sales teams (direct reports and/or reps)

Preferred: Experience with gearmotors, automation, or industrial equipment sales, especially to OEMs
Skills

Strong leadership and communication abilities

Proven track record in sales strategy, key account management, and team performance

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Deep knowledge of industrial markets and mechanical technology (preferred)
Travel

Willingness to travel as needed for territory and team management
Compensation & Schedule
-
Remote Position managing national sales and directly overseeing the GMD sales team

Salary Range: $130,000 – $152,000 per year

Eligibility for performance-based bonus programs
