About the Role
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Network Development Engineer (NDE) to design and support advanced datacenter network fabrics and systems at global scale. This role requires a deep understanding of networking protocols combined with strong coding skills to enable automation in large-scale production environments. You’ll help shape the future of cloud and AI networking while mentoring peers and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop next-generation datacenter fabrics and services with high scalability, performance, and reliability.

Lead the technical direction for network features, automation, and operational best practices.

Translate network needs into tooling requirements and collaborate with software teams to build frameworks for new rollouts.

Decompose designs into executable tasks and manage implementation through cross-functional collaboration.

Participate in operational rotations for troubleshooting, remediation, and root cause analysis.

Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge-sharing.

Collaborate with vendors and QA teams to qualify new platforms, firmware, and systems.

Maintain and update technical standards, runbooks, and network documentation.
Qualifications

Proven expertise in networking protocols and datacenter design.

Strong coding and automation skills for network operations.

Compensation & Benefits (US)

Salary Range: $87,000 – $178,100/year, with eligibility for bonus and equity.
