The Network Reliability Engineer team at Oracle is dedicated to ensuring seamless network reliability, automation, and scalability. We focus on operational excellence—combining proactive monitoring, automation, and rapid incident resolution to keep OCI networks performing at their best.
What You’ll Do
As a Principal Network Reliability Engineer, you will design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed network systems that support Oracle’s global cloud infrastructure. You’ll develop automation tools, improve network visibility, and lead initiatives to optimize performance, reliability, and security.
Your role involves both proactive and reactive responsibilities—automating complex processes, enhancing monitoring systems, resolving incidents quickly, and driving continuous improvements across thousands of devices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure every part of OCI’s network operates flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure network solutions for OCI.

Automate processes to enhance reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Manage incident response and implement improvements for network resilience.

Collaborate with global engineering teams to support network expansion and optimization.

Develop tools for network configuration, validation, and performance monitoring.

Lead troubleshooting efforts during network events and post-mortem reviews.
What You Bring

3+ years of experience in networking technologies.

Strong skills in Python or similar scripting languages.

Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols.

Proven experience developing network automation or device management solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in agile environments.

A proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on results and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications

Expertise with IS-IS, RSVP-TE, EVPN, and VxLAN protocols.

Experience using YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF for network modeling.

Background in network support roles and familiarity with Jira and Git.

Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.

US hiring range: $74,900 – $158,200 per year, with eligibility for bonus and equity.
