About the Role
Workiva is seeking a Senior Networking and Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer to deliver best-in-class authentication, networking, and security support for internal and external customers. This role requires technical depth, proactive problem-solving, and a passion for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. You’ll serve as a mentor, lead escalations, and play a key role in driving resilience, performance, and security across our platform.
🕒 Schedule: Sunday–Friday, 11 PM – 8 AM CST (after initial training period).
Key Responsibilities

Deliver advanced authentication and IAM support for customers and internal teams.

Lead complex escalations in IAM, networking, and security.

Mentor and train new engineers, providing coaching and enablement.

Troubleshoot and mitigate authentication, authorization, and latency issues.

Collaborate across teams to enhance network and security resilience.

Maintain and create technical documentation and best practices.

Support proactive monitoring, issue prevention, and trend analysis.

Lead small to medium projects from planning to implementation.

Communicate with empathy and professionalism during customer interactions.
Qualifications
Minimum
-
4+ years of experience in IAM support and networking roles.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred
-
Certifications: CIAM, Security+, CISSP, CISM, Okta Certified Professional.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure (Entra ID), GCP, SailPoint, Ping Identity.

Experience managing Zscaler, NetSkope, firewalls, switches, proxies.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, diagnostic tools, and IAM frameworks.

Proficiency with SAML & SCIM protocols, SSO, and automated provisioning.

Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading change management initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits

💰 Salary: $74,000 – $118,000 (commensurate with experience).
