Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the planning and early execution of EV service center projects. These facilities support electric vehicle operations with infrastructure for charging, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
This role requires a strong background in infrastructure development, electrical systems, and municipal coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and delivers results with technical precision.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct site feasibility assessments, including zoning, access logistics, environmental, and infrastructure readiness.

Oversee due diligence activities across multiple sites, managing consultants and internal teams.

Develop and execute permitting and entitlement strategies with local authorities and regulatory bodies.

Coordinate with design consultants and stakeholders to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and technical standards.

Build and manage budgets and schedules, leading cost estimating and contractor/vendor pricing reviews.

Define EV charging infrastructure requirements, including load demand and layout optimization.

Coordinate electrical systems design (transformers, switchgear, service upgrades) with utilities and engineering teams.

Engage with EVSE vendors, contractors, and utility providers to align on scope and timelines.

Validate electrical design packages for compliance, scalability, and utility standards.

Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) and external partners (developers, consultants, landlords).

Provide executive-level reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership.

Contribute to the development of design standards, permitting workflows, and scalable delivery processes.

Support integration of renewable energy, battery storage, and energy management systems.

Manage a pipeline of active and upcoming projects aligned with business goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).

12+ years’ experience in real estate or infrastructure project management, with focus on preconstruction.

Proven ability to deliver multiple, large-scale projects in high-pressure environments.

Expertise in budgeting, estimating, and cost modeling.

Strong knowledge of EV charging technologies (Level 2, DC fast charging, load management, utility interconnection).

Experience in medium/high-voltage electrical infrastructure (switchgear, substations, transformers).

Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and local codes for industrial/commercial facilities.

Skilled in permitting, entitlements, and contract negotiation.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with executive presentation experience.

Strategic problem solver with ability to overcome site-specific and regulatory challenges.

Experience developing scalable delivery systems and standards.
Compensation & Benefits
💰 Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 annually (base only; total package may vary).
