Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in solving unique and complex payroll challenges that broadly impact business operations. The successful candidate will be recognized as a specialist in payroll with a deep understanding of finance functions, compliance, and international payroll operations.
This role requires conceptual and innovative thinking to design and implement creative solutions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing.
CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Process payroll activities, including base pay, premium pay, off-cycle pay, adjustments, and reversals.

Address and resolve payroll-related errors and employee queries with urgency and accuracy.

Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax teams on payroll-related projects and process improvements.

Compile and analyze payroll data, producing reports for management and audits.

Manage payroll compliance with international statutory taxes, benefits, and pre/post-tax treatment.

Oversee General Ledger postings related to payroll and ensure accurate integration with timekeeping systems.

Support special projects and audits related to payroll operations.

Lead and mentor a payroll team of 10+ members, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent credential preferred.

Minimum 10 years of finance experience with strong payroll expertise.

Deep knowledge of international payroll regulations, statutory taxes, and compliance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll-related software.

Experience collaborating with HR on payroll and process improvement initiatives.

Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll/General Ledger interfaces.

Proven leadership experience managing large payroll teams.

Exceptional communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
