Keys Responsibilities
- Product Advocacy: Clearly articulate the value of the product portfolio to internal and external stakeholders. Build strong relationships with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive adoption and business growth.
- Market Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including key players, market trends, challenges, and competitive dynamics. Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, inform product strategy, and guide portfolio decisions, including potential M&A prospects. Define and refine market segmentation to effectively engage target user personas.
- User-Centered Approach: Lead user research efforts—including interviews, surveys, and observational studies—to gain insights into user needs, challenges, and workflows. Translate findings into actionable recommendations that enhance product development and user experience. Foster meaningful engagement with users through community-building initiatives.
- Product Development & Execution: Oversee product discovery to identify and validate user pain points. Convert insights into well-defined requirements and user stories for engineering teams. Prioritize the product backlog based on strategic alignment and value impact. Apply agile methodologies to ensure iterative progress and continuous improvement.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Define and monitor key product metrics to measure performance and identify areas for optimization. Use data analysis to inform product decisions and align initiatives with business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to align on product vision, design direction, and go-to-market strategies. Act as a problem-solving partner for technical and design teams, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring smooth execution. Inspire and motivate teams to achieve company goals.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and champion the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial goals. Prioritize initiatives based on market insights, user needs, and long-term growth strategies.
Who You Are
- Proven Product Leader: Demonstrated success in launching and scaling SaaS products, particularly in B2B environments. Experience with AI-driven solutions is a plus.
- Strong Business Acumen: Deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and business models, with the ability to make strategic, data-informed product decisions.
- Exceptional Collaborator & Communicator: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Technically Proficient: Solid understanding of software development methodologies and the ability to work closely with engineering teams to drive product innovation.
Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA and experience in the insurance or financial industry are advantageous.
