Who You Are

As a Senior Product Manager, you bring a strategic, end-to-end product mindset and the experience to drive high-impact product initiatives. You will lead product research and development efforts, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver business-aligned software solutions. Your expertise in navigating the full product lifecycle and managing cross-functional teams will ensure Zinnia continues delivering high-value innovations to the insurance industry.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead or support all phases of the product lifecycle—from market research and competitive analysis to roadmap development, requirements definition, and product launch.

  • Conduct in-depth research and provide analytical support to leadership for decision-making.

  • Evaluate consumer needs, market trends, and partnership opportunities from both ROI and build-vs-buy perspectives.

  • Deeply understand current systems and user experience to identify gaps and develop innovative ideas that drive customer satisfaction, growth, and market share.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill product requirements and support successful commercialization.

  • Assist in planning product release schedules, including new features, updates, and maintenance releases.

  • Define and execute business and technical solutions aligned with organizational goals.

  • Investigate and resolve escalated production issues, track incidents to closure, and document root causes and preventive solutions.

  • Communicate regular updates on severity-level issues to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.


What You’ll Need

  • 5–10 years of experience in product management with a focus on software design, development, and implementation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong customer relationship and service skills; comfortable interacting with all organizational levels.

  • Foundational knowledge of systems integration, data interfaces, network infrastructure, and operating systems.

  • Experience with process automation and/or robotic process automation (RPA).

  • Familiarity with business process modeling, decision tables/trees, and data flows.

  • Ability to define API requirements and collaborate with engineering and UX teams to ensure seamless system integration.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and understanding of client/server and network environments.

  • Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access, Project).

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset and strong organizational skills.


Bonus Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, or financial services industry.

  • Proven background in process automation and/or RPA.
