Product Manager, Software Architecture
We’re looking for a highly technical and collaborative Product Manager to drive the software architecture for our Windows on Snapdragon compute products, powered by Qualcomm SoCs. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping our software offerings and ensuring they scale and are portable across diverse hardware.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Scalable Software Architecture: Design software architecture that can scale and be easily adapted across various Windows on Snapdragon compute products using Qualcomm SoCs.
- Strategic Software Roadmap: Work closely with core technology teams to define a roadmap of software solutions for OEMs, ODMs, and third-party application vendors.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Use your deep technical understanding to guide software engineering efforts. You’ll need to collaborate across multiple technology product management and engineering teams, building consensus to achieve goals.
- Windows OS Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the Windows Operating System.
- Hardware Portability: Demonstrate proficiency in making software portable across different generations of hardware platforms.
- Product Gap Analysis: Present data to leadership and the team on software product gaps, propose solutions to close them, and identify opportunities for market expansion.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external collaborators for analysis, optimizations, benchmarks, and more.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of project outcomes, acting as a technical lead.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions even with incomplete, contradictory, or ambiguous information, impacting policies and multiple teams in the software development process.
- Project Management: Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for larger projects.
- Technical Credibility: Lead others through your strong technical expertise.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Product Management or a related role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing operating budgets and/or project financials.
- 2+ years of experience negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
- 2+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.
Compensation & Benefits:
The base salary for this position ranges from $162,400.00 to $243,600.00. This reflects the broad minimum to maximum pay scale for this job code and location. Your actual salary will depend on your skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
