Position Summary:
Walmart is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Internal Assortment Planning Platform—a critical tool that empowers merchants and planners to make data-driven assortment decisions across omni-channel retail. Your work will enable smarter, faster, and more collaborative planning aligned with Walmart’s financial and customer goals. In this cross-functional role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, UX, data science, and business teams to deliver innovative, scalable tools that improve accuracy and streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities:

Own the product roadmap for Walmart’s assortment planning platform, ensuring alignment with merchandising and omni-channel strategies.

Collaborate with merchants, planners, and cross-functional teams to identify user pain points and transform them into scalable product features.

Drive development of key features such as forecasting models, buy quantification, and reconciliation tools aligned with budget and space constraints.

Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization with a focus on delivering measurable business value.

Ensure platform performance, data accuracy, and seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.

Promote user adoption through intuitive design, training, and clear communication of product value.

Monitor KPIs and user feedback to continuously improve platform usability and functionality.
Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of product management experience

Option 2: 7 years of product management experience or in a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

4+ years of experience managing complex, enterprise-grade internal platforms

Deep understanding of retail or merchandising workflows, especially assortment planning, inventory management, and forecasting

Familiarity with omni-channel strategies and how to align physical store and eCommerce assortments

Experience with data modeling, forecasting tools, or decision support systems

Knowledge of Walmart’s merchandising systems and organizational structure is a strong plus

Understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and best practices for inclusive product design
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $90,000 – $180,000 annually
