SoundCloud is looking for a qualified Senior Product Manager for our Creator team. This person will focus on our music distribution product and services that artists use to get their music on streaming services across the globe. The Creator team at SoundCloud owns the experience for artists including upload, distribution, fan interaction, fan powered royalties and promotion tools. This team generates more than $100 million per year and is growing fast.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the product strategy, vision and roadmap for the music distribution product area
- Work with design and engineering to execute the roadmap
- Communicate vision and strategy to stakeholders
- Translate strategic business goals into a quarterly roadmap and team backlog
- Develop a growth model and communication framework for educating stakeholders and evaluating opportunities
- Communicate outcomes and learnings with peers and business stakeholders
Experience And Background
- Bachelor’s degree or work experience in a relevant field with 5+ years of product management experience as well as experience with agile methodology. Consistent track record of wins and takeaways
- Experience building music technology products at a music distribution company, streaming service, or record label
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
- Thorough, detail-oriented and organized. Able to lead multiple parallel projects
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, as well as a high level of comfort leading workshops and presentations with a diverse group of stakeholders and teams.
- Familiarity with the music industry
