What You Will Do
Special objects represent the final frontier of e-commerce, and we need you to help us conquer it. As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our Personalization and Machine Learning strategy within the Search & Ranking domain, ensuring a tailored and engaging experience for our buyers. Your primary focus will be improving the relevance of recommended lots throughout the Buyer Journey while driving cross-team and cross-vertical initiatives to create a more personalized and engaging marketplace.
Working closely with the Search & Ranking team—including engineering, design, marketing, and data science—you will develop and deliver innovative personalization features that enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the Search, Ranking & Personalization vision and roadmap.
- Align Catawiki’s strategic goals with impactful personalization initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the team delivers results that support both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Lead the experimentation agenda for recommendation and ML models, working with ML engineers to measure quality and assess impact.
- Oversee the integration of personalization features, ensuring they align with the overall product strategy.
- Own key metrics related to personalization performance and optimize features using data-driven insights.
- Work with design teams to prioritize user-centric personalization, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
- Join the Demand Vertical, where the focus is on user onboarding, discovery, and creating a rewarding auction experience for buyers.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of product management experience, with proven success in defining roadmaps for personalization, product recommendations, search, or ML-driven products.
- Outcome-driven with a bias for action, demonstrating the ability to set and achieve ambitious goals.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and delivering results within tight timelines.
- Strong decision-making skills, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives.
- Exceptional storytelling abilities, capable of communicating a compelling product vision to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to extract actionable insights from data for data-informed decision-making.
- Extensive experience in A/B testing and experimentation methodologies specific to Machine Learning projects, refining algorithms to drive engagement and performance.
- Solid technical understanding of Machine Learning, from statistical foundations to practical model implementation in real-world products.
- Skilled at collaborating with ML engineers to develop and integrate personalization features effectively.
- Strong business acumen, able to align product strategies with business objectives, identify revenue opportunities, and balance user-centric design with commercial priorities to maximize impact.
