Role Overview

TELUS Digital is seeking a Senior Product SEO & GEO Strategist to drive SEO, Generative AI Engine Optimization (GEO), and App Store Optimization (ASO) across client projects. You’ll integrate search strategies into product development, creating qualified, converting traffic while shaping best practices across our internal teams. This senior role requires working closely with product, engineering, design, content, and analytics teams to influence technical, content, and AI search strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve SEO, GEO, and ASO strategies with Generative AI tools and Search Everywhere Optimization (SEO for UX-driven search).

  • Conduct technical audits and provide prioritized recommendations for SEO, GEO, and ASO across websites, apps, and digital products.

  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations and client recommendations on SEO, GEO, and ASO strategies.

  • Build custom technical SEO requirements (Schema Markup, 301 redirect maps) for engineering implementation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations, monitor site performance, and track user behavior.

  • Drive content strategies informed by audience and topic research, competitor analysis, and business goals.

  • Maintain reporting dashboards and analytics tools to measure organic traffic, audience engagement, and conversions.

  • Mentor junior team members and guide internal SEO practices across projects.

  • Publish thought leadership on LinkedIn, blogs, and other channels to strengthen TELUS Digital’s brand presence.

  • Support business development efforts and client-facing initiatives as capacity allows.


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of SEO experience in a digital agency or in-house role.

  • Expert knowledge of technical SEO, GEO, ASO, and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON-LD).

  • Strong experience with web performance, usability, LLMs, voice search, A/B testing, and analytics-driven SEO.

  • Proficient with tools such as Sparktoro, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA, Looker Studio, SEMRush, seoClarity, Ahrefs, and AI-supported platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate SEO insights into actionable recommendations and measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and client priorities concurrently.

  • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.

  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies, tools, and search trends.

Bonus Points:

  • Certifications or degrees in Computer Science, Marketing, or related fields.

  • Experience in Web Development, UX, Content Marketing, Product Strategy, or App Store Optimization.

  • Agile methodology experience and familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
