Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage multiple large, complex, cross-departmental, multi-phase projects from initiation to completion.

  • Apply project management best practices and methodologies adopted by NYISO to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet established business objectives.

  • Leverage specialized business and technical expertise within NYISO’s various operational areas to implement solutions that fulfill project commitments effectively.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for assigned initiatives, coordinating with project team members across departments in a matrix environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.

  • A minimum of seven years of proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects, with a strong track record in project lifecycle management, and maintaining technical project plans in a multi-project environment.

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex business processes, multiple platforms and technologies, financial management, and influencing organizational change.

  • Advanced knowledge of vendor selection processes (RFP/RFI), project planning, risk management, budgeting, and leadership in driving project success across teams.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and perform routine office tasks.

  • Occasional need to reach with hands and arms, and lift or move up to 15 pounds.
