Role Summary:
The Senior Revenue Accountant will ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. Responsibilities include managing month-end close activities, preparing journal entries, reconciling revenue accounts between IBS (AS400) and Oracle GL, and collaborating with FP&A on sales variance analysis and forecasting. This role is vital to maintaining compliance and improving revenue accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition implementation and compliance, including policy development and contract interpretation.

• Accurately classify revenue streams (product sales, services, subscriptions).

• Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and manage month-end close for revenue accounts.

• Coordinate with Credit and Collections on AR allowance for credit loss.

• Collaborate with FP&A on sales variance analysis, revenue forecasting, and budget alignment.

• Reconcile revenue accounts between IBS and Oracle GL, ensuring proper cut-off and resolving discrepancies.

• Oversee revenue disclosures in financial statements compliant with GAAP and ASC 606.

• Support internal and external audits related to revenue transactions.

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and FP&A to align revenue accounting with business strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

• 6+ years of revenue recognition experience with strong knowledge of ASC 606.

• Proficiency in Oracle GL and IBS (AS400) or similar financial systems.

• Strong analytical skills with expertise in multi-system reconciliations.

• Experience collaborating with FP&A on forecasting and variance analysis.

• Excellent communication and process improvement skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex accounting processes efficiently.

Work Environment:

• Full-time, based in Oakbrook, IL.

• Occasional travel for site visits, meetings, and audit coordination
