About the Role

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with customers through phone and in-person interactions, fostering trust and developing mutually beneficial solutions. Identify additional sales opportunities while navigating customer organizations and balancing contact frequency with potential sales growth.
  • Manage your assigned territory efficiently, prioritizing goals, renewal opportunities, and new sales prospects through strategic phone and in-person engagement.
  • Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish credibility with users, key stakeholders, managers, and executives at Thomson Reuters customer sites. Collaborate with internal teams to meet sales objectives.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Thomson Reuters products, the legal profession, and the legal publishing industry.
  • Achieve and exceed sales and renewal targets through a combination of in-person visits and phone meetings.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for Small Law solutions to showcase their value.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to enhance territory penetration strategies.
  • Assist with customer-related concerns, including collections and issue resolution, to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Submit accurate and timely weekly sales reports and update Salesforce.com records.
  • Participate in sales meetings, conventions, and industry events as required.

About You

You’re an ideal candidate for the Senior Sales Executive role if you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience (phone and field sales); experience in the legal industry is preferred.
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent experience (JD is a plus).
  • Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of sales concepts, strategies, and techniques.
  • A self-motivated, ambitious mindset with high energy and drive.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • The ability to stay positive and persistent in challenging sales situations.
  • The flexibility to work from a home office and travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in prospecting techniques, including internet research and industry-specific resources.
