Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales plans to ensure customer satisfaction, achievement of quotas, strong reference accounts, and a highly skilled, motivated team.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement sales-driven marketing programs and initiatives.

  • Set annual sales and gross profit targets by analyzing market trends and results, and implementing effective marketing strategies.

  • Forecast and establish sales quotas for territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for new and existing products and customers.

  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing by staying updated on market conditions, trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity.

  • Oversee order services by guiding account representatives and executives on quotations, proposals, order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution.

  • Adjust billing margins by monitoring costs, competition, and market conditions, while negotiating cost levels as needed.

  • Manage the sales team by recruiting, selecting, training, and mentoring employees.

  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, plan for growth, and evaluate job results.

  • Build and sustain relationships with top customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

  • Stay current with industry trends and developments by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in industry organizations.

  • Provide detailed forecasts and updates to senior management.

  • Work with internal support departments to ensure a positive customer experience.

  • Partner with suppliers to maintain customer relationships, train staff, and implement marketing programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing sales teams and programs.

  • At least 5 years of professional sales experience in a related industry.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff and programs at a national, district, or regional level.

  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning and resource coordination.

  • Proficient in customer service principles, customer needs assessment, and quality service delivery.

  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work as a team leader with flexibility and time management skills.

  • Proficient in time management and computer skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Working Environment:

  • This is an outside sales position, with the majority of work performed in an office environment, but may involve travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities.

  • The role may require long periods of driving, with frequent stops, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $102,816 – $128,520 annually (subject to geographic location, qualifications, experience, and other factors).

  • Compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan based on sales targets and business goals.

  • Additional compensation may include equity and other benefits as part of the total compensation package.
