About the Job
Blu Omega is seeking an experienced DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer who brings more than just deployment skills. We want someone well-versed in cloud-native architectures, knowledgeable about leveraging CDNs to boost performance, and passionate about building resilient, scalable systems from the ground up.
This senior-level role offers the opportunity to modernize, secure, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting high-impact, data-driven web platforms. You will lead initiatives spanning cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code, collaborating closely with innovative developers and integrating advanced tools—including AI-driven features—to enable autonomous reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure

Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation

Enhance site performance, reliability, and security at both origin and CDN layers

Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
-
Lead incident response as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation with minimal after-hours demand

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on architecture and production support

Evaluate, select, and onboard DevOps tools focused on performance and cost optimization
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)

8+ years of experience in development and operations roles

4+ years working with Linux-based systems

3+ years managing production cloud environments

Deep expertise with CDNs such as CloudFront, Cloudflare, or Akamai, and understanding of system scalability

Proven experience in setting up monitoring, alerting, and handling production incidents, particularly with databases

Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Node.js, or Java, and their integration with cloud services

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
Preferred Qualifications:

AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications (AWS Professional certification highly desired)

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI

Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

Background in Agile development methodologies
