What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and deliver new platform capabilities and product offerings from inception to release.

  • Balance speed to market with long-term growth by designing solutions that meet today’s needs while preparing for the future.

  • Partner with the Product team to define initiatives and construct roadmaps that meet business goals quarter by quarter.

  • Ensure system reliability by participating in on-call rotations, addressing support tickets, and implementing preventative measures.

  • Provide mentorship to engineers both within your team and across the organization.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of backend software development experience, with strong proficiency in Ruby (preferred), Golang, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including relational and non-relational databases, data structures, algorithms, and REST APIs.

  • Experience with domain modeling, object design, and system architecture.

  • Proven track record of writing clean, tested, and concise code.

  • Ability to set expectations, estimate project timelines, and inform decisions based on available information.

  • Skilled in writing and reviewing technical proposals, providing constructive feedback, and articulating trade-offs.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role in San Francisco, CA, is $183,000 to $215,000. We also offer additional compensation based on location, with specific ranges shared during the recruiting process.
