Key Responsibilities – Software Engineer II

  • Design, develop, and test code and applications to support Cable One’s business initiatives.

  • Implement new hardware and software projects, ensuring alignment with technical standards.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain applications, databases, and third-party systems.

  • Manage support tickets escalated by the Software Specialist Team, providing timely resolution.

  • Analyze project requests to estimate time, costs, and technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate software environments and define project scope.

  • Mentor junior developers and technology team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all project implementations.

Qualifications – Software Engineer II

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer II.

  • Advanced certifications in programming languages (e.g., .NET) and database systems preferred.

  • Expertise in developing REST APIs and distributed software applications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Self-starter with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
