Join the Collins Aerospace Crypto Team in our Software Technologies directorate, where we develop advanced embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications. Working closely with the NSA, hardware, FPGA, and software teams, you’ll help ensure our communications products are secure, reliable, and trusted.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead design, development, integration, and verification of embedded encryption algorithms, working primarily in C++, Python, and embedded Linux. Experience with secure systems, cryptographic applications, or secure software development is a plus, but not required.
What You’ll Do

Lead development on multi-threaded embedded C++ products, integrating software and hardware for mission-critical systems.

Design and implement advanced embedded cryptographic solutions for secure military communications.

Collaborate across teams to define requirements, implement software, and support verification, testing, and certification.

Required Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Experience in crypto system design, requirements capture, and certification artifacts.

Familiarity with Information Assurance/Cybersecurity standards.

Technical/project lead experience.

Knowledge of high-level programming (C#, Java, Rust, Ada, VHDL) and real-time embedded systems integration.
