Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Westchester County, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)

Job Description:

JCW is partnered with a leading firm seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their team in Westchester County, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing domestic tax compliance, reporting, and planning efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in corporate or partnership tax who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for partnerships, and other entities.
  • Research and analyze federal and state tax laws to identify planning opportunities and ensure compliance.
  • Support audits conducted by federal and state tax authorities, including gathering necessary documentation and drafting responses.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate tax reporting and integration of tax considerations into financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree (e.g., MST) preferred.
  • 3+ years of partnership tax compliance experience ideally in a public accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in U.S. federal and state tax concepts, including pass-through and corporate taxation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical tax concepts effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
