Senior Web Developer

Position Summary:
As a Senior Web Developer, you will support USPS Corporate Communications, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and responsive web experiences. You will develop, enhance, and maintain core JavaScript and CSS files, troubleshoot deployment issues, and improve Section 508 accessibility compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance main JavaScript and CSS files for websites.

  • Troubleshoot website deployment, security, and TeamSite template issues.

  • Investigate and resolve accessibility issues to maintain Section 508 compliance.

  • Design and develop new website features, including creating and enhancing TeamSite templates.

  • Write and maintain technical documentation for the Interactive Digital team.

  • Create analytics reports using Google Looker Studio.

  • Run monthly website scans to identify broken links and typos.

  • Assist team members in troubleshooting website and TeamSite issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in web development.

  • Strong proficiency in CSS, Sass, and JavaScript, adhering to browser compatibility standards.

  • Experience with jQuery, Bootstrap 3/4, and Sass-based customizations.

  • Experience building reports with Looker Studio.

  • Experience with TeamSite and Dreamweaver is a plus.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • Experience with USPS or other government web systems.

  • Knowledge of accessibility and federal compliance standards.
