Role Overview
Forbes is seeking an organized, strategic, and data-driven Content Strategist to join the Audience Growth, SEO team. This role focuses on optimizing evergreen content, growing audience reach, and ensuring Forbes content performs across search engines, AI platforms, and emerging digital channels.
You will work closely with editors, contributors, and SEO leadership to create and maintain content that aligns with readers’ needs, supports key moments in their journey, and drives measurable engagement. This role requires working Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & SEO:

Identify content gaps and new coverage opportunities through competitive and trend analysis.

Develop evergreen content calendars aligned with seasonal trends and audience needs.

Perform keyword research and trend monitoring to create detailed content briefs.

Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, internal links, headings, FAQs, and content structure for SEO and AI/LLM visibility.
Analysis & Reporting:

Track performance across search engines, answer engines, and AI-driven platforms.

Build bi-weekly and monthly reports highlighting traffic trends, topical authority, and content performance.

Identify and resolve issues such as broken links or outdated content that may impact SEO.
Collaboration & Training:

Work with editorial teams to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and SEO best practices.

Train contributors on SEO optimization, content updates, and emerging search trends.

Collaborate across departments to align SEO strategy with broader organizational goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (technical or analytical fields preferred).

2–3 years of experience in SEO; experience with publishing or news organizations is a plus.

Proficiency in keyword research and trend analysis tools (Google Trends, SEO platforms, etc.).

Strong understanding of Google News algorithms and ranking factors.

Exceptional communication, organization, and attention to detail.
