About the Role
Twine is seeking a skilled SEO Specialist to enhance the visibility and performance of a small business website. This project focuses on cleaning up outdated indexed URLs, improving on-page SEO, and strengthening local search presence through Google Business Profile optimization. The ideal candidate will deliver actionable recommendations and optimizations with the potential for future collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and redirect approximately six outdated URLs to relevant, active pages.

Submit URL removal requests using Google Search Console.

Update and optimize the website’s XML sitemap and robots.txt to reflect current content.

Perform comprehensive on-page SEO improvements, including:

Refining meta titles and descriptions.

Optimizing heading hierarchy (H1–H3) for SEO relevance and readability.

Adding descriptive alt text to images for accessibility and search indexing.

Improving internal linking structure.

Provide recommendations for page speed, mobile responsiveness, and website performance enhancements.

Set up and optimize a Google Business Profile to boost local SEO visibility.

Deliver a summary report outlining completed tasks, optimizations, and further recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Skills & Requirements

Proven experience in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and SEO strategy.

Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.

Ability to implement URL redirects, update sitemaps, and edit robots.txt files.

Working knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms for direct page-level updates.

Familiarity with mobile optimization and website performance best practices.

Experience creating and optimizing Google Business Profiles.

Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, actionable SEO recommendations.
