Service Planner Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding breakdowns and service appointments.
- Collaborate with depots, service teams, and engineers to optimize scheduling.
- Manage service contracts, schedules, and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of service operations and inventory for parts.
- Generate quotes, estimates, and invoices for chargeable services.
- Support profitability and cost management for depot operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications for a Service Planner
- GCSE or equivalent educational background.
- Experience in customer service or administrative roles in a commercial setting.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with SAP (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage schedules effectively.
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
