Service Planner Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding breakdowns and service appointments.
  • Collaborate with depots, service teams, and engineers to optimize scheduling.
  • Manage service contracts, schedules, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of service operations and inventory for parts.
  • Generate quotes, estimates, and invoices for chargeable services.
  • Support profitability and cost management for depot operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications for a Service Planner

  • GCSE or equivalent educational background.
  • Experience in customer service or administrative roles in a commercial setting.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with SAP (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage schedules effectively.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
