Position Summary: Service Technician
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and versatile Service Technician to support our clients during the warranty phase of their remodeling projects. This position also involves completing project punch lists to help ensure successful project closeouts.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of remodeling tasks including finish carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and tiling.

Troubleshoot and diagnose installation issues or pre-existing defects in project builds, and complete necessary repairs — both during production and warranty stages.

Carry out final punch list tasks to prepare homes for client handover.

Order materials as needed to complete assigned service or repair work.

Communicate daily with the Service Manager regarding warranty status, punch list progress, and task updates.

Review project scopes and drawings to assess whether service items fall under warranty or should be billed to the client.

Document work through the Buildtrend App, including daily updates, photos, and homeowner communications.

Coordinate subcontractors when needed to complete service or punch list tasks.

Inspect fixtures, cabinetry, and appliances for defects or missing parts prior to installation.

Install appliances and low-voltage lighting per project plans (when required).

Test all appliances and fixtures for full functionality and ensure no leaks or malfunctions.

Lift and move materials weighing up to 80 lbs.

Provide emergency service support, including occasional after-hours or weekend work when needed.

Perform maintenance tasks within the Bradford & Kent office and showroom when assigned.

Maintain a full set of personal hand and power tools necessary to complete work efficiently and at a high standard.
Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years hands-on remodeling experience across all major trades.

Proficient and safe in using both hand and power tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Solid understanding of construction practices, project scopes, and building codes.

Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications accurately.
