Shift Maintenance Electrician – Westminster

Company Overview:
Equans, a leading global energy and services contractor, is part of the Bouygues industrial group. With expertise in design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure, we deliver high-quality solutions worldwide.

We are currently seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our team at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent, shift-based role, working 38.5 hours per week on a 4-on, 4-off schedule (day shifts only: 07:00 – 19:00).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Report to the M&E Shift Supervisor
  • Perform electrical and mechanical planned/reactive maintenance
  • Maintain buildings and plant to required management standards
  • Complete accurate paperwork and record material requirements
  • Recommend replacement parts and materials to ensure optimal equipment availability
  • Oversee specialist subcontractors
  • Adhere to all statutory regulations and company safety standards
  • Provide cover for other technicians as required, including participation in a call-out rota

Candidate Requirements:

  • Recognised Electrical Trade Apprenticeship and/or Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Mechanical qualifications/experience (desirable)
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (preferred)
  • Must be appointed in at least one AP/CP role and undergo necessary training
  • Experience in building services, maintenance, or facilities management (desirable)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Security clearance required (5 years of UK residency and a valid British or EU passport)
