Job Title: Outbound Department Manager
Reports To: Operations Manager
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Staci UK, Epic, Ashton-in-Makerfield, WN4 9GD
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 per year + Bonus Scheme
Staci UK, a global leader in multichannel logistics solutions, is seeking a proactive and experienced Outbound Department Manager to lead our outbound team in Ashton-in-Makerfield. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient outbound operations, achieving performance targets, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of Team Leaders and up to 20 warehouse operatives.
- Conduct regular appraisals for team members, ensuring clear performance standards.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) within budget.
- Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures and ensure process adherence.
- Organize and allocate resources (equipment and labour) for efficient operations.
- Plan for peak periods, coordinating with agency labour providers for ramp-up staffing.
- Maintain quality standards by conducting regular quality control checks.
- Ensure health and safety compliance within the team.
- Implement continuous improvement practices for efficiency and quality enhancement.
Critical Skills:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within 3PL, Manufacturing, Production, Distribution, or Warehousing.
- Strong leadership skills with a “can-do” attitude.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent planning and resource management skills.
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety practices.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
