Job Description

Délifrance, a leading name in bakery and patisserie products, is seeking an experienced Shift Manager for our Wigston site in Leicestershire. This role involves leading a shift team, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and ensuring efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise the shift team, ensuring sufficient personnel at budgeted cost levels.
  • Production Planning: Assist in preparing production schedules.
  • KPI Monitoring: Calculate and track KPIs and waste levels.
  • Labour Coordination: Liaise with temporary agencies for short-notice labour needs.
  • Performance Logging: Maintain detailed shift production logs for management review.
  • ISO Documentation: Maintain records to ensure compliance.
  • Incident Management: Investigate accidents and incidents, maintaining accurate records.
  • Quality Control: Monitor quality and food safety checks, ensuring records are complete.
  • Training and Competency: Train and coach team members, including temporary staff, ensuring operational competence.
  • Compliance Management: Enforce disciplinary, grievance, and attendance management procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team leading or supervisory roles (2+ years), ideally in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Strong team leadership abilities.
