Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Gaining a thorough understanding of all restaurant operations, policies, and procedures, as well as FOH (Front of House) and BOH (Back of House) responsibilities.
  • Performing duties in both FOH and BOH as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, health regulations, and food safety codes.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, managing, and supervising employees.
  • Adhering to all federal, state, and local employment laws, including hiring, termination, discipline, scheduling, and staff management.
  • Coordinating employee meal and rest breaks in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Handling and resolving employee and customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Overseeing restaurant cleanliness by completing routine cleaning and sanitization tasks.
  • Managing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant performance.
  • Implementing marketing programs and introducing new menu items.
  • Monitoring and evaluating customer satisfaction, food quality, preparation standards, inventory, sales performance, labor costs, and overall expenses.
  • Communicating regularly with the General Manager (GM) and District Manager (DM) regarding operational, management, and safety concerns.
  • Enforcing all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education, Certification, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of restaurant experience.
  • Food Manager/ServSafe Certification as required by state or local health authorities.
  • General understanding of business management principles.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic computer functions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
