About the Role
Join Balfour Beatty, a leader in UK infrastructure, as a Site Engineer in our Highways business. In this key role, you will support the delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure by overseeing site operations and ensuring technical excellence throughout.
You’ll contribute to some of the UK’s most vital transport projects, while working in a supportive and innovative environment that promotes safety, sustainability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you will:

Set out works from primary control and provide setting-out information on site.

Prepare and deliver Task Briefing Sheets.

Contribute to the preparation of Permit to Dig and brief the workforce.
-
Carry out safety inspections and ensure Zero Harm principles are embedded.

Read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.

Support project delivery in line with Balfour Beatty’s Sustainability objectives.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for individuals with:

Site engineering experience in highways or civil engineering projects.

The ability to interpret technical drawings and work in accordance with site safety procedures.

A focus on delivering quality, efficiency, and safety across site operations.

A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
