The Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Manager (internally titled Housing Standards Team Leader) to lead the delivery of construction and repair services across our housing assets. This new role has been created during a period of transformation and will be critical in maintaining compliance, improving service delivery, and ensuring tenant safety.
Key Responsibilities

Lead a locality-based construction team, ensuring consistent performance and excellent customer service.

Oversee day-to-day site operations across housing repairs, planned works, and compliance activities.

Ensure all construction activities comply with CDM Regulations, health and safety policies, and Council standards.

Manage and update Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Monitor performance metrics, drive quality improvements, and implement corrective actions when needed.

Support the delivery of housing repair programmes in line with Council strategic plans.
What We’re Looking For

Strong understanding of social housing regulations including Decent Homes Standards and tenant safety requirements.

Demonstrable experience managing teams and leading site operations in housing construction or maintenance.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Ability to balance operational priorities with strategic objectives and maintain a resident-focused approach.

Commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
Essential Qualifications & Certifications

NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

IOSH Certification
