Key Responsibilities of a Social Media Channel Coordinator
As a Social Media Channel Coordinator, you will:
- Assist channel leads (social, web, email, SMS) with planning and executing marketing strategies
- Monitor and respond to inbound social media messages using Sprout Social under guidance from the Social Media Manager, including occasional night/weekend monitoring for urgent needs
- Maintain and update channel calendars with campaign activities and results
- Conduct social listening to track industry trends and competitor activity, reporting findings to the marketing team
- Perform regular website audits to improve user experience, product content, and promotions
- Build dashboards and reports to track campaign success and inform future strategies
Qualifications for a Social Media Channel Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in marketing or communications
- Strong background in inbound social media monitoring and response
- Excellent project management, written, and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of branding principles and marketing strategy
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to optimize marketing efforts
- Experience with digital marketing tactics such as paid search, organic search, email marketing, and social media campaigns
