About Us
The Donovan Group, a national leader in communications for public schools, is seeking a talented freelance graphic designer with strong Canva expertise to support its social media content production. This is a part-time, remote contract position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the agency expands. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about educational storytelling.
Responsibilities:

Create engaging and on-brand graphics using Canva Pro for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X

Work closely with internal team members to align visuals with messaging goals

Deliver Canva files in editable formats for team collaboration and revision

Follow visual style guides and remain consistent with client branding

Meet weekly design deadlines and maintain clear communication on task progress
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic design

Demonstrated expertise with Canva Pro (must have an active subscription)

Strong visual design portfolio (social media examples highly preferred)

Ability to accept and apply feedback quickly and professionally

Excellent time management and communication skills

Passion for supporting public education and community engagement
Preferred Qualities:

Prior experience designing for school districts, nonprofits, or educational content
